Welcome to the official website of the Crown of Antarctica
His Imperial Highness
PRINCE RICHARD
Duke of Tjorvenn
Prince Richard, Duke of Tjorvenn, is the former Emperor of Antarctica, having reigned as His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Richard I of Antarctica for 14 days until his abdication on July 12, 2025. Prior to proclaiming the Crown of Antarctica, Richard was the King of Zamora, a portion of Antarctica, until he became Emperor of the continent in 2025.
A man of profound legacy, Prince Richard is the son-in-law of LeRoy Kincaid, the visionary who first claimed sovereignty over Antarctica in 1950. For decades, Richard upheld and advanced that claim, guiding the Crown through its foundational era and establishing the imperial traditions, diplomatic mission, and environmental stewardship that define the Crown today.
In his later years, faced with advancing dementia and other health issues, Prince Richard made the courageous and selfless decision to abdicate the throne in favor of his son, the now Emperor Alexander I, ensuring the stability and continuity of the Crown.
Now bearing the title Duke of Tjorvenn, Prince Richard retains a place of honor as a respected elder statesman and father of the reigning emperor. He serves as a living symbol of the Crown’s perseverance, history, and human spirit, and remains beloved by family, subjects, and supporters alike.
